SCOTTSDALE RESORTS AND TRADING POWER...
Year-round demand for the
Scottsdale area by members of RCI and II has led both exchange companies to
classify all 52 weeks at all Scottsdale area resorts as RED season for exchange
purposes. Owners at all Scottsdale area resorts enjoy the ability to exchange
into virtually any location during any month of the year --- at least in theory.
The privilege of requesting a RED week for a RED week does not necessarily mean
that all RED week requests are given equal consideration when the most
highly-demanded destination resorts during peak travel times become
available. There are a number of factors that can enhance or diminish
trading power that an owner can control; however, others are driven by external
conditions, i.e., supply and demand for a specific resort, supply and demand for
all resorts in the general area, and supply and demand for the specific week
that is banked.
It
is essential that prospective owners fully understand that "all
red weeks are not equal" when contemplating the purchase of time share in
the Scottsdale area for exchange.
